Northern Maine has some of the highest snowfall totals in the country, making snowmobiling hugely popular here, as evidenced by our more than 280 snowmobile clubs. Maine’s snowmobile trail system—which includes 4,000 + miles of primary trail known as the Interconnected Trail System (ITS)—offers the opportunity to ride uninterrupted from region to region, with a full range of services available en route. Many of the state’s 10,000+ additional miles of groomed trails also hook up with the ITS. For a map of Maine’s Interconnected Trail System and trail conditions reports, visit the Maine Snowmobile Association.

We have some amazing places to go explore via snowmobile like the Abandoned Steam Trains of the Allagash (“Ghost Trains”), the First Mile in Fort Kent, Ride the Board trail between New Brunswick Canada & Maine, or travel to the beautiful Frenchville over look where you can see for miles! There is so much to see and do on a snowmobile here in Maine. Weather or not your an experienced sledder or a novice we can take you on a tour you will be excited to tell your friends and family about.
