Welcome to Meeting our Big Game Recovery Dogs!!! 3 of our girls are AKC registered labs out of West Virginia. We have had all of our dogs trained by Justin Branch owner of Big Black River Kennels in Mississippi. We cannot say enough good about the training our recovery dogs have had. They come out of training without skipping a beat and right into the woods for doing recovery for clients!
Tikka: Tikka is our silver female lab and is about a year and a half old. She has had one littler of puppies but unfortunately we lost all but 4 of them to pneumonia. She didn’t work fall of 2024 due to having her litter of puppies at the start of hunting season for us. She continues to do mock tracks and we look forward to what she will do for our clients in 2025.
Beretta: Beretta is a female charcoal lab and is about a year and a half old. She has had one littler of nine puppies that was not planned. She is nicknamed “the bulldozer” due to how she puts her nose down on a track and goes through anything in her path. You better buckle up and be ready for a heck of a track with her on the end of a leash! When she isn’t tracking she is enjoying being a loving home life of snuggles and treats!
Kimber: Kimber is a female charcoal lab and is about a year and a half old. This girl is a tracking machine! She took a little time to warm up to finding bear as she was scared of them at first but it didn’t take her long to come around. She has done 24 hour old tracks, 1.5 mile tracks and short tracks alike. We cannot wait to see how she does in 2025!
We are excited to also announce that we will have 2 more tracking dogs joining our ranks fall of 2025! Both pups were born Aug 2024 at our facility. Mother is Tikka our silver lab and the father is our Huskey. (No it wasn’t planned) We will have a total of 5 dogs ready to rock and roll come fall of 2025 to help hunters recover their Bear, Moose or Deer here in Northern Maine! Moose is the black pup and Daisy is the chocolate pup. They will both be training in Mississippi this Feburary 2025.
